District 5170 Mission Statement

The mission of Interact 5170 is to create, strengthen, and grow Interact clubs so they will be a positive influence on campus life, serve their communities, and improve the lives of people throughout the world.

WHAT IS INTERACT?

Interact is an international organization that promotes service and leadership through its various clubs. Our club here at Cupertino is one of hundreds all across the world that are sponsored by larger Rotaries.

We are part of Area 12, one of thirteen different areas across the Bay Area included in District 5170. Each year, we organize two main service projects, one that benefits our community and one that encourages international understanding.

WHAT CAN I DO AS A MEMBER OF THE CLUB?

Our club offers a variety of volunteering opportunities throughout our local community. We also lead several projects around our school to impact the students on campus, whether to inspire them to make a difference in their community or just make their days a little bit better.

Our club organizes two main committees – International Project Committee (IPC) and Community Project Committee (CPC). Throughout the year, we lead various events that not only help fundraise money for these events but spread awareness towards the specific cause.

HOW CAN I RECEIVE AN INTERACT STOLE?

To receive a free stole at the end of your senior year, you must complete a minimum of 15 service hours over 2 years of serving as an active member of the club. This includes attending 90% of our member meetings, and Area 12 events (international night, charity dinner, etc.)
